Monday opening high lights

"We're in the middle of a digital revolution," says Prof. Manfred Broy of TU München. "The functionality of many devices is already completely shaped by software. Ever more products include embedded systems. The potential of cyber-physical systems is almost unlimited." At a HANNOVER MESSE Preview, Broy looked into "a world full of innovations that we approach with excitement." As shown by studies under his Software & Systems Engineering chair, manufacturing technology is taking a pioneering role. Says Broy: "Industry 4.0 is already here."
